Transfer up to around 1800 metres in the foothills of Mt Kinabalu after lunch, visiting traditional village markets on the way for some great bargain shopping |

Transfer to Kinabalu National Park Headquarters this morning to meet your mountain guides, collect permits and get warmed up. You will have with you a day pack with warm clothing and a change of clothes for the next day. Around 9am we hike up to Laban Rata Resthouse at an altitude of 3353 metres. |

Today starts at 3.00am (no joke) in order to complete the final hike to the summit at 4000 metres for the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen (hopefully) ! Back down to Laban Rata for breakfast and then an easier descent back down to
Park Headquarters and our waiting driver. |

Late afternoon we take our coach to the Klias River where we have an entertaining boat trip spotting Probiscus Monkeys and crocodiles, as well as fire flies. |
